I first realised that I wanted to be a Web Designer when I was about 18, up until then I had my eyes on being a games programmer, I delved into it and decided it was not meant for me, maybe I found it too hard, but mostly I found it didn't hold much interest for me, so I stuck to playing games and not creating them. If there is one thing I can say of myself is, if I am not interested then it will not stay with me. Although I'm probly describing most of the other 6 billion people on the planet in saying that.

It was while doing web design as one of my modules in my second year at City of Westminster College that I knew what I wanted to do, I absolutely loved it, was all I was interested in doing, finishing my assignments weeks before needing to be handed in, at the end of the year, with web design no longer to be part of my course, I dropped out and decided to focus solely on web, I didn't want to waste my time learning stuff that I had no intention of using or needing. I began doing courses in various aspects of web design, learning HTML, XHTML, CSS, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc. It was while studying all this, that I became even more invested in web design, I loved the creative side of it. It was certainly a great feeling to have a goal in my life and to be so settled on what I wanted to do.

Its no step too far, to say that the Internet and websites have become apart of our lives, so many of the things we used to have to branch out for, are now at our fingertips, maybe thats a good thing, maybe its a bad thing, personally I say its abit of both, like everything, use moderation.

I won't say I'm ever going to rank highly as great web designer, because that would be a lie, and honesty is the only thing I ever ask for, most importantly from myself, but I know what I'm doing, I strive to learn and to improve, when it comes down to it I love Web Design and it always brings a smile to my face when people ask me things like, 'WOW, thats cool, how did you do that?'....

....big smile.
